How it all started?

BetterEstate was founded after our founder, Rob, had his first child and realized he needed a will. He first turned to online platforms but found them rigid and impersonal. They relied on long, generic questionnaires, required payment upfront, and didn’t answer the specific questions he had.

Wanting a more tailored approach, he worked with a lawyer. While the expertise was valuable, the process was slow and expensive, costing $300 an hour and dragging on due to long response times. In the end, he got his will, but the experience left a lot to be desired.

That’s why BetterEstate was created—to combine the efficiency of online platforms with the expertise of professionals, giving people a faster, more personalized, and affordable way to create a will.
